A Day in the life of a Chocoholic
It is not easy being a chocoholic because prices have been on the up lately so it is getting to be a costly habit. Anyway, I tend to wake up at about 7:30am and weary eyes I head first of all downstairs to flick the kettle on. I then head back upstairs to get dressed and get cleaned up.
Downstairs my typical breakfast is a cup of hot chocolate along with a couple of slices of toast with chocolate spread covering the top. I believe in living healthily when I can so I also have a piece of fruit, whilst I listen to my 'Hot Chocolate' CDs.
Then it's time off to the office in my dark brown car, stopping off briefly on the way to grab a daily newspaper and a couple of Cadbury's Bars. At work I try and check
my Chocolate website emails before the boss gets in and then I go about my work in admin and I. T., taking a brief break at about 11am for a chocolate break. A twix bar is one of my favourite bars, although I am also a big fan of Dairy Milk and any Dark chocolates. If I have enough I do sometimes offer some to others but I have to be a real good mood to do that!
At lunch time I am ashamed to say that I head to a local cafe or sandwich shop and apart from a Kit-Kat I eat sandwiches and a fresh fruit drink and there is nothing choc. about my lunch.
It's back to work and on this particular day I fire off a couple of emails to the lady in HR because I have offered and am now coordinating one of the office social events which is a Chocolate Tasting evening. Several people have signed up and for once people are talking to each other in the office. The idea of which chocolates should be includes in the tasting's seemed to be of far greater important and interest to people than the work we are supposed to be doing. It seems to me as though people are excited at the chance to think about something other than work. I receive reply back from the supplier who are sending a guy in to the event (they should get some sales from it) that I will be getting a free choc. pack. Very good. It's a good choc day so far.
By the time I finish work its time to join friends for a drink in the local bar but first I must get a birthday present for a good friend and I am not sure what to buy so I decide to head to a Thornton's Shop and buy them a box of ...... chocolates. Well, why not.
Back to the bar and my friends who are aware of my passion in life have got clever and sat on the table in the bar when I get there is a chocolate cocktail. I was going to order a beer but what can you do.
...More coming soon...... from the Chocoholic...
