Chocolate Recipes
It is possible to use chocolate to prepare a lot of delicious dishes, mostly sweet but also savoury. Below we list four of our favourite recipes with chocolate as one of the main ingredients.

Chocolate tart with peaches and amaretto recipe
Ingredients for the dough: 200gr of wheat flour; 100gr finely ground almonds; 50gr sugar; 120gr butter; one egg.
Ingredients for the filling: 150gr sugar; 50gr of butter; 1 table spoon of unsweetened cocoa powder; one egg; two peaches; one teaspoon of vanilla extract; 30gr ground amaretti; 50gr of wheat flour.
Prepare the dough by mixing all the ingredients in an electric mixer. First put in the mixer the flour with the softened butter, then the ground almonds, the egg and the sugar. Mix all
the ingredients together until they form a compact mixture, add two spoonfuls of cold water if necessary. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
For the filling, whip egg and sugar together. Melt the butter in a sauce pan and mix it with cocoa powder. Pour this mixture over the egg and sugar mix. Add vanilla extract, ground amaretti and flour. Mix these ingredients until you obtain a soft and homogenous mixture.
Take the dough out of the fridge and spread it out in a 20cm baking pan, previously buttered and floured. Pour the filling on top of it and level it with a spatula. Cut the peaches into quarters and place them on top of the tart.
Bake in a pre-heated oven (190 C) for about 40 minutes or until the crust is golden. Let it cool down before serving it.
Chocolate Salami Recipe
Ingredients: 2 eggs; 80gr butter; 100gr sugar; 70gr unsweetened cocoa powder; 1 packet of shortbread biscuits; a bit of liquor (if you like it).
Whip eggs and sugar together until you get a homogeneous mixture. Add softened butter. Add cocoa and ground biscuits to the egg mixture and mix the ingredients together energetically, until they all come together. With this mixture, make a roll in the shape of a sausage and wrap it in foil or cling paper. Leave the chocolate salami in the fridge for a few hours before serving it. If you like it, you can add a little bit of liquor of your choice to the chocolate mix.
Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients: 250gr butter; 250gr potato starch; 300gr dark chocolate; 300gr sugar; 6 eggs; ½ a sachet of baking powder.
Mix butter with sugar and 6 egg yolks. When the mixture is homogeneous add potato starch and baking powder. Keep mixing the ingredients and add the dark chocolate, after previously melting it in a saucepan in a double boiler (bain-marie). Mix and add the egg whites beaten stiff. Pour into a buttered and floured baking pan and bake for 50 minutes at a temperature of 180 degree Celsius.
Beef in chocolate sauce recipe
Ingredients for four people: 900gr beef tenderloin; 3 tablespoons of butter; one chopped onion; two chopped garlic cloves; 150ml white wine; 280ml water; 25gr unsweetened dark chocolate; two tablespoons chopped parsley; salt and ground black pepper.
Rub the meat with salt and pepper and brown it all over in butter. Add garlic, onion, wine and water. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes over a low heat. Add chocolate and simmer, without cover, for ten more minutes; then turn off the heat and let the meat rest for about ten minutes. Slice the meat and serve each slice with the chocolate sauce on top and sprinkle with parsley.
